Privacy policy

Who we are

Contextric is a trading name of James Tennant, who is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact us at hello@contextric.com.

This website

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and contains no third-party tracking, adverts or embedded content. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. These are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify you.

Booking a call

The "Book a call" buttons take you to our booking page on Cal.com. If you book, Cal.com collects your name, email address and anything you add to the booking, and shares it with us so we can hold the call. Cal.com handles that information under its own privacy policy. We use it only to arrange and prepare for the call.

When you email us

If you email us, we use your name, email address and anything you include in your message to reply to you and, if we work together, to manage that work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We keep enquiry emails and booking details for up to two years, unless we go on to work together, in which case records are kept for as long as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. We don't sell or share your information, except with service providers who help us run the business (such as our email and booking providers), under appropriate agreements.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can object to how we use it. Email us to make a request. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
