Contextric
/kənˈtɛkstrɪk/con-TEXT-ricnoun
- A master of context.
Good AI starts with someone who knows what it needs to know.
Origincontext, from Latin contextus, ‘woven together’, and -ric, from Old English rīce, ‘ruler, power’, as in bishopric.
Why the name.
AI is only as good as the context it works with: your data, your systems, your people, and what you want to achieve. Getting that context right is most of the job. It's what we do, whether we're building an agent, reviewing an engineering team or training your people.
James Tennant, founder.
James has over 25 years' experience delivering technology for large organisations across the public and private sectors, including Critical National Infrastructure programmes for UK Government and major IT programmes for FTSE 100 companies.
He started as a software engineer in the late 1990s before moving into solution and AI architecture, and co-founded an AI consultancy working with large corporate clients.
He has led legacy modernisation, reviewed agentic engineering practice for a global systems integrator, and trained hundreds of engineers to use AI well. Contextric brings that experience to organisations of every size.
How we work.
The person you meet does the work
No hand-off to a junior team after the sale. The experience you talk to on the first call is the experience on the engagement.
Independent advice
We recommend what is right for you, including when the answer isn't AI. Reports and plans are yours to keep, whoever does the work next.
Scope agreed up front
Fixed scope and a fixed price for reviews and pilots, agreed before we start, so there are no surprises.
