AI for accountants, without the guesswork.
Your software is already adding AI features, and your team is probably trying others. We help your practice work out which are worth using, which are safe with client data, and where AI can give you time back.
Where AI saves time.
The work that fills the week in an accountancy practice, and what AI can help with, with a qualified person checking anything that matters.
- Client emails and queries
- Routine questions answered and replies drafted, from what you already hold on the client.
- Data entry and categorising
- Receipts, invoices and bank lines read, categorised and matched, with exceptions flagged for review.
- Reporting
- Commentary for management accounts and year-end packs drafted from the numbers, ready for a manager to review.
- Onboarding
- New client documents gathered and checked, and engagement letters and proposals drafted.
- Research, checked
- A faster starting point on tax and technical questions, with every answer checked against the source.
- Practice admin
- Chasing records, scheduling work and internal processes taken off your team’s plate.
What to get right first.
Client confidentiality
Client financial data must stay confidential. We check which tools would see it, where it goes, and whether it could be used to train someone else’s model.
Accuracy
AI can get numbers and tax rules confidently wrong. Anything that reaches a client, HMRC or Companies House needs checking by someone qualified.
The software you already pay for
Many accounting and practice tools now include AI. Part of our job is finding what you already have before you buy anything new.
Who you’ll work with.
James has over 25 years' experience delivering technology for large organisations across the public and private sectors, including Critical National Infrastructure programmes for UK Government and major IT programmes for FTSE 100 companies.
Every engagement is led by James personally. He has worked on programmes where security and assurance are non-negotiable, and brings the same rigour to the tools your team uses.

Questions accountants ask us.
Is it safe for accountants to use ChatGPT with client data?
Not the free personal version, as a rule. Business versions of the main AI tools can be set so client data isn’t used to train their models, with access controls and audit logs, and some can keep data in the UK or EU. An AI health check shows which tools your team uses today and whether they’re set up safely.
Do the professional bodies allow accountants to use AI?
Bodies such as ICAEW and ACCA haven’t banned AI. Their codes of ethics still apply, including confidentiality, professional competence and due care. We help you set policies that show how your practice meets them.
Our software already has AI features. Do we need anything else?
Sometimes not. Many practices pay for AI features they don’t use, while staff use free tools on the side. We look at both before recommending anything new.
Can you work around our busy periods?
Yes. We schedule work around your deadlines, so nothing lands on your team in the run-up to 31 January.
Do we need an IT department?
No. We work with whoever runs the processes today, and recommend tools your team can look after themselves.
